• Pellet furnaces are larger

Pellet furnaces are larger appliances designed to heat an entire house through ductwork. They are usually installed in a basement or outhouse and like all wood pellet stoves require efficient venting to the outside through an approved vent or flue.

As with all types of heating stoves, it is important when installing wood pellet stoves to ensure that they have an efficient means of expelling the waste gases and smoke, usually a chimney or compatible flue. It is advisable to seek advice from a certified dealer/installer who will advise and if required supply and install a suitable venting system. Indeed most suppliers of wood pellet stoves offer a complete installation service.

That?s why it would be a good idea to consider hiring one of America?s Top DUI and DWI Defense Attorneys now. Here?s a few ways our lawyers may be able to win your case. ILLEGAL STOP OF PERSON OR VEHICLE ? a driver cannot be stopped unless the officer has a reasonable and articulate basis to believe that a traffic law or other law has been violated. Similarly, a person cannot be seized unless a violation has occurred.

WEAVING INSIDE THE LANES IS NOT ILLEGAL ? weaving without crossing any lines is not a violation of the law, and a vehicle cannot be stopped for that reason.

ANONYMOUS REPORT OF DRUNK DRIVING ? a car cannot be stopped simply because an anonymous citizen reported that the driver was drunk.

STANDARD FIELD SOBRIETY TESTING IS INACCURATE ? in healthy individuals, the one-leg stand test is only 65% accurate, and the walk-and-turn test is only 68% accurate in determining if a person is under the influence.

  • There are many options from

There are many options from large dogs to little fish. You should carefully consider the needs of each and what you think will fit into you life style as well. The happiest pet is one with happy owners that don?t feel stressed by its care and needs. You should study into types as well as breeds so you know exactly what to expect breeds.

Can you afford the addition of a pet?

Now that you have decided on a type of pet. You need to consider the cost of owning a pet. Pets even if you are given on free are very expensive. If you have a dog or a cat there will be vet visits, food, licensing, toys and supplies and if your pet should become sick there are medications they may need. Owning a pet is very expensive.

    Do you have the time?

Animals require attention just like we do as human beings. The need to be feed, groomed, walked, played with.

Shameless gang jailed after conning elderly out of Pounds 200k

0 Comments | Evening Post; Bristol (UK), Sep 3, 2010 | by Tom Morris

FIVE rogue traders who shamelessly targeted elderly and vulnerable householders in South Gloucestershire have been jailed for a total of 19 years.

Travellers David Evans, 57, his two sons Buddy and Shannon Evans, Patrick Maughan, and Stephen Maloney, all in their 20s, took nearly Pounds 200,000 from residents by tricking them into paying thousands for substandard or unnecessary work.

The men, who lived at traveller sites in South Cerney and Glous cester, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud in an operation that lasted between 2003 and 2008.

The gang selected old people who were vulnerable but who had significant savings, telling them that repairs needed to be carried out on their homes.

The alleged improvements were typically done badly or for grossly inflated prices.

They returned to the properties several times for extra money, with many of the 11 victims who signed off cheques confused about the prices and the alleged faults.

Of 11 victims, six were from Gloucestershire and five from South Gloucestershire. They included one elderly woman in Dursley who was persuaded to hand over in excess of Pounds 25,000.

The five victims from South Gloucestershire were aged between 58 and 87, and lived in the Frampton Cotterell and Coalpit Heath areas. They paid between Pounds 15 and Pounds 15,000 for the shoddy work.

A police spokesman said not all victims had lived to see their tormentors face justice.

At Bristol Crown Court yesterday, David Evans was jailed for six years and four months, Buddy Evans, 29, for five years and six months, Shannon Evans, 21, for three years and seven months, and Patrick Maughan, 22, for two years and six months.

Stephen Maloney, who recently turned 21, was sentenced to 13 months in jail.

Officer in the case, Det Sgt Jon Williams, of Gloucestershire Police, said: “Today’s sentence shows clearly that rogue traders will not escape justice simply by crossing borders. The success of this case is due to co-operation between Gloucestershire Police, Avon and Somerset Police and the Crown Prosecution Service.

“Although the victims collectively lost a large sum of money to this group, the defendants’ finances are being thoroughly investigated under the Proceeds of Crime Act.”

The gang could be forced to hand over any money that can be traced at a later court hearing.

DC Dai Nicholas, from Avon and Somerset Police’s Priority Crime Team, added: “All of the officers involved in this case, from both forces, would like to personally thank the witnesses in this case

  • The canna farms continued

The canna farms continued regrowing and selling more and more diseased and mutated canna rhizomes each year, until they could be viewed with horror in full bloom with the distorted flowers and ratty leaves in contrast to the buyers at the stores and their unhappy retail customers. Many of these canna varieties were originally grown and sold as true to name varieties. After many decades of vegetative reproduction, the canna crop has become a mixture of harmful and inferior mutations susceptible to many diseases, insects, nematodes, and flower abnormalities.

Commercial growers of cannas practiced a technique that they called ?roguing? that involved searching through rows of cannas in full bloom and discarding those that appeared to vary visually from the desired variety intended to be grown.

School affected as new building work overruns

    0 Comments | Gloucestershire Echo, The, Sep 2, 2010

BUILDING work has disrupted the start of the new term at Tewkesbury School.

It had been hoped that work on making the Ashchurch Road site as energy efficient as possible would be completed during the summer holidays.

But when the school opened again yesterday, some of it was still covered in scaffolding.

Head teacher John Reilly said work on two of the three older blocks had been finished but it had not been completed on the main E block.

He said: “We’re going to be operating without three classrooms until the weekend.

It will mean moving some classes into other rooms.”

But he said he the most important part of the project, the work on insulating the roofs, had almost been completed and he felt the builders had done a good job so far.

Some work on installing energy-efficient lighting is not now expected to be finished until next month. The builders have been carrying out the work after the school was successful with a grant application of Pounds 800,000 made by the county council on its behalf to undertake energy-saving measures.

  • Since auto donations are donated,

Since auto donations are donated, any donor will receive a tax write off not to exceed $500 at the time of donation. If the car is sold for a higher value, charitable organizations can provide you with a written statement for the amount and you may apply the credit toward your income tax.

You may submit the form and receive an early reply with most vehicles gladly excepted. You can usually expect a tow service provided by the auto donation charity to pick up your car within 2 to 5 days. If possible, have the car title ready and any other paper work required. Auto donations are easy and quick to accomplish through most online charity groups. You may choose between a vast array of causes that you wish to support. “Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.” (I John 4:11)

  • When this is done,

When this is done, a mixture of marble dust and polyester resin cement can be used to fill in the missing piece. It will harden into the desired shape. If this is done properly, the regenerated piece will be indistinguishable from the original.

The same marble dust/resin cement mix can be used to fill in holes in marble. The ratio of marble dust and resin should be calibrated to best imitate the shade of marble in question.

Fixing marble surfaces can be a fiddly affair, but taking the time to do it right will pay off ? your marble will look like new!

  • The good news is that

The good news is that it?s more convenient and cheaper than ever to register your photographs after they have been published.

Pursuant to a recent change in copyright law, you now can register a group of published images on one form. The only requirements are that the photos must have been published in the same year, made by the same photographer and have the same copyright claimant. This should fit the profile of most photographers and their work.

Another beneficial change in the law is that group registration of published images currently requires only one ?deposit? or copy of the image. Previously, you had to submit two of the actual published copies. Now you can register your published images on one form, with only one deposit, one application and one filing fee, as long as they meet the above requirements.

Specific instructions on how to prepare your registration forms for published photographs are available from the Picture Archive Council of America at http://www.pacaoffice.org/copyright.html in ?The Importance of Copyright Registration?

You no longer have an excuse.
